We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented candidate to join our audit team.
Responsibilities
- Perform audit fieldwork for financial statement audits, reviews, and agreed-upon procedures.
- Prepare and document audit workpapers in accordance with professional standards.
- Assist with planning engagements
- Test internal controls and substantive account balances.
- Prepare financial statements and related disclosures.
- Research accounting and auditing issues as needed.
- Communicate professionally with clients to obtain requested documentation and answer questions.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve client processes and internal controls.
- Work on multiple engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with partners, managers, and other team members to ensure high-quality client service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 2–3 years of recent public accounting audit experience.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
- Experience preparing audit workpapers and financial statements.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience auditing nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, employee benefit plans is a plus but not required.
