Position Summary
Changing Behavior LLC is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Registered Behavior Technician to provide individualized Applied Behavior Analysis services to children and adolescents in home, school, clinic, and community settings.
The RBT will work under the ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and will be responsible for implementing behavior-reduction and skill-acquisition programs according to each client’s individualized treatment plan.
This position is appropriate for an RBT who values clinical quality, professional development, teamwork, and consistent support from supervising clinicians. Candidates enrolled in a master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis or working toward BCBA certification are strongly encouraged to apply.
Primary Responsibilities
Implement individualized ABA treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
Provide direct one-to-one behavioral services in home, school, clinic, and community settings.
Teach communication, social, play, academic-readiness, self-help, and daily living skills.
Implement behavior-support procedures consistently and ethically.
Collect accurate data during each session.
Complete clinical documentation and session notes within required deadlines.
Use reinforcement, prompting, shaping, modeling, natural-environment teaching, and discrete-trial teaching as clinically indicated.
Support functional communication and the appropriate use of AAC systems when included in the client’s treatment plan.
Assist clients with transitions, waiting, accepting changes, following routines, and developing greater independence.
Communicate professionally with caregivers, supervisors, teachers, and other members of the treatment team.
Participate in supervision, training, team meetings, and performance feedback.
Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, BACB requirements, company policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Report clinical concerns, safety incidents, caregiver concerns, or significant changes in client behavior promptly to the supervising BCBA.
Follow all crisis-management and safety procedures established in the client’s treatment plan.
Minimum Qualifications
Active Registered Behavior Technician certification in good standing.
Active CPR and First Aid certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Successful completion of required background screening.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between assigned service locations.
Ability to work independently while following BCBA direction.
Ability to collect data accurately and complete documentation on time.
Strong communication, organization, and professional-boundary skills.
Ability to engage actively with children and adolescents during sessions.
Ability to sit on the floor, stand, walk, bend, and participate in movement-based activities as needed.
Ability to respond safely to behaviors that may include aggression, elopement, tantrums, property disruption, or self-injury.
Preferred Qualifications
One or more years of experience providing ABA services.
Experience working with children or adolescents diagnosed with autism or related developmental conditions.
Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, behavior analysis, social work, or a related field.
Current enrollment in a master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Interest in pursuing BCBA certification.
Experience working in home, school, community, or clinic-based programs.
Experience implementing functional communication training, natural-environment teaching, social-skills programs, and daily living programs.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
Supervision and Professional Development
The RBT will receive ongoing supervision from a BCBA at least weekly, based on client needs, scheduling, and BACB requirements. Team supervision meetings are also conducted approximately every two weeks.
Candidates pursuing BCBA certification may have opportunities to participate in clinical discussions, treatment-plan review, data analysis, caregiver training observation, and other professional-development activities, subject to company needs and applicable BACB requirements.
Supervision toward BCBA fieldwork requirements is not automatically guaranteed and must be addressed through a separate written supervision agreement.
Compensation
The starting rate is $30.00 per billable hour for direct client services.
Required training and approved meetings will be compensated according to the company’s established training and administrative pay policies. Compensation applies only to time that has been scheduled, authorized, documented, and approved.
After the initial three-month period, performance, attendance, caseload stability, clinical documentation, and company needs may be reviewed to determine whether the compensation structure or availability of approved non-billable hours will be revised.
This position does not guarantee a minimum number of weekly hours. Hours are based on client authorizations, attendance, scheduling, location, clinical need, and continued funding.
